The US Department of Defense has published its latest UFO report, which states that the Pentagon has received hundreds of reports of unidentified flying objects.
From May 2023 to June 2024 alone, the Pentagon was informed of more than 750 possible UFO sightings. The US administration currently refers to UFOs with the term unidentified aerial phenomena (uap), or “unidentified atmospheric phenomenon” in Finnish.
– Reports of unidentified atmospheric phenomena, especially near national security targets, must be taken seriously, and the US government must investigate them with scientific thoroughness, says Jon Kosloski, director of the UFO Sightings Investigation Agency (AARO) , according to the news channel CNN .
Among other things, the US Aviation Administration FAA has forwarded information about possible UFO sightings to the Pentagon. According to the report, the FAA has made a total of 392 notifications, of which one case is mentioned separately in the report due to the seriousness of the situation. Also read
UFO over New York? The expert wonders about the mystery object
This incident happened in April and Iltalehti reported on it fresh . An unidentified flying object flashed near New York’s LaGuardia Airport in a video shot by a plane passenger. According to the expert’s analysis at the time, there is no indication that the video was edited or manipulated.
In the UFO report published on Thursday, it is said that the personnel of the passenger plane observed a cylindrical object while the plane was flying over the Atlantic Ocean near New York.
The report states that the incident is the only one that has possibly caused a situation that endangers flight safety. In other words, it could have caused a life-threatening situation for passengers.
The report does not mention that AARO had any knowledge of what that flying cylindrical object was. The report mentions that most often (in 70 percent of cases) a ufo or uap turns out to be some kind of (air)ball. A total of 16 percent of the cases remain uap, i.e. unrecognizable atmospheric phenomena.

AARO’s Kosloski emphasizes that the agency has no evidence of the activities of “aliens”, i.e. extraterrestrials that arrived from outside the Earth.
– It is important to emphasize that to date, AARO has not found any verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial entities, their activities or technology, he says.
However, at a congressional hearing on Wednesday, former US government or military officials had the opposite message. They told us that UFOs or UAPs are real and that “we are not here alone”.Also read

According to former Defense Department official Luis Elizondo , the United States and some of its enemy countries possess UAP technology. The matter is kept secret “to hide the fact that we are not alone in this universe.”
– I want to make it clear: UAPs are real, he said according to the Wall Street Journal .
– Advanced technologies, not made by our administration or any other administration, monitor sensitive military bases around the world.
U.S. Navy Rear Admiral evp. Tim Gallaudet told Congress that in 2015 he received confirmation that UAPs are real. He received a video from Naval Forces Command via email of a flying object that had several near misses with a Navy aircraft.
According to Gallaudet, the flying object had “flight and structural characteristics that do not resemble anything in our equipment”. The next day, all emails about the video had disappeared from Gallaudet’s accounts and everyone else’s.
In its report published in March, the Pentagon stated that the “UFOs” seen by people are not from outside the Earth. Elizondo is not convinced.
– I believe that we Americans can withstand the truth. I also believe that the world deserves the truth, he says.
